Do you think that religion has changed over the years or is it the same old thing?

Yes, it has changed. Some religions have "accepted" a lot of things of the world, things you would never think a church would accept.

Is acceptance a change though? Or is it that times have changed and so the religion just modernized to keep up with the times?

What kind of religion is that that needs to 'modernize' to keep up with the world times? A computer? Fine. A change in doctrine? Should not!

Well some churches for instance use technology to inform their congregation. Before that you would find that the local leader could say what he wanted and they would just have to believe it.
